Dževad Hadžić to head SDP cantonal committee in Tuzla instead of Enver Bijedić

TUZLA, (Patria) - SDP delegate in the Federal House of Peoples Dževad Hadžić should take over the leadership of the SDP Cantonal Organization in Tuzla, after former president Enver Bijedić was expelled from the party.

The SDP announced that the reporting and election conference of the Cantonal Organization of SDPBiH Tuzla will be held on Sunday, where the president and new bodies of this cantonal organization will be elected.

Although after Bijedić's departure it was said that the SDP in Tuzla Canton could be taken over by the Mayor of Tuzla, Jasmin Imamović, he stated for the Patria News Agency that his election to the head of the SDP in TK would mean accumulation of functions, which is against the party's principles. Imamović is a member of the Presidency and the Main Board of SDP BiH.

"I think Dževad Hadžić has the best chance to be the new president of the Cantonal Organization in Tuzla," said Imamović.

"The final word will certainly be given by the election conference on Sunday," he added.

Dževad Hadžić was born in 1970 in Kalesija. He is a mechanical engineer by profession. He was first elected to the Assembly of Tuzla Canton in 2010. He is currently a delegate in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament.
