FUNERAL ON 11 NOVEMBER Mother Hajra searched for her Nino for 26 years

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - On the day when the Mothers of Srebrenica relive their pain anew, every 11th of the month, a commemoration will be held today, and a funeral prayer and burial will be performed for one of the deceased mothers, Hajra Ćatić. 

This mother searched until her last day for the remains of her son Nino Ćatić, who on 10 July 1995, as a journalist, warned of the tragedy looming over Srebrenica if it did not receive help. The world did not hear his cry, and mother Hajra saw him for the last time on 11 July. He was only 26 years old. After 26 years of grief and pain, mother Hajra's heart could no longer endure. She went after her Nino.

A book of condolences will be placed in the lobby of the Cultural Centre in Srebrenica on Thursday, 11 November 2021, from 9:00.
