Džemal Sakera from Panama donated 200 iftars to fasters from Maglaj

Džemal Sakera from Panama in Central America donated 200 iftars for fasters from Maglaj, which were distributed last Sunday, writes the BH news agency Patria.

The iftars donated by Sakera were realized by the non-governmental organization AKOS and the Association of Citizens Svitanje in cooperation with the Majlis of the Islamic Community from Maglaj, i.e. the local imam Nevres ef. Hodžić.

Ensar Mulaosmanović, president of AKOS, told Patria that they do not know much about this donor. They reached him through an English humanitarian organization, but they assume he is a businessman from Panama, whose only condition was that the money for the iftars ends up in the flood-affected areas.

- We organized one hundred iftars for fasters in front of the city mosque, while one hundred iftars were delivered to the homes of Maglaj residents - said Mulaosmanović.

- In the coming period, AKOS will organize iftars in other flood-affected places as well: Bosanski Šamac, Sanski Most, Živinice, Begov Han, Drinjača. The iftars will be realized by AKOS's affiliated members in coordination with the Majlises and local imams - added Mulaosmanović, writes Patria.
