Džeko's injury requires a longer absence

Football club Roma received the bad news about Edin Džeko's injury with concern, after only about twenty minutes of the match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Spain. The thirty-year-old footballer left the field with a pained grimace. The first examination revealed that Džeko injured the medial collateral ligament in his right knee, writes Patria.

This is a common injury for footballers, handball players, and skiers. The injury is most often sustained by a blow from the outside of the knee, usually from a sliding tackle. Such was the duel involving Edin Džeko, after which he had to leave the field. The injury is painful, and the player must stop playing because his movement is painful and difficult.       

Džeko has already flown to Rome for further examinations. There is a fear that it might be a more serious ligament tear. Roma's club doctor has already warned about Edin's previous injury to the same knee in September, when the Bosnian goalscorer had to be absent for a longer period. Roma doctors noted that the injury usually recurs at the end of strenuous seasons. This refutes the claims of alleged simulation by our goalscorer, which some individuals emphasized on social media.  

Roma even admitted that this could complicate the sale of our national team player. Recent announcements suggested that Turkey could be the next destination for the best BiH striker.
