Džananović: Had Silajdžić read the ICTY verdicts, she would know the cause and immediate trigger of the 'unfortunate war'; the University should be concerned!

(Patria) - Sabina Silajdžić, PhD in Economics, professor at the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo, caused a public uproar by posting on social media a text titled "Address to pro-Bosnian forces – questioning and testifying to the truth" in which she equated March 1, when Bosnia and Herzegovina's Independence Day is celebrated, with January 9 – an unconstitutional date for marking "RS Day".

Last night, as a guest on Face TV in a debate with state prosecutor Milan Dunović, she repeated this, calling for a single truth to be established about the causes that led to the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Muamer Džananović, a member of the Institute for Research of Crimes and Genocide of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA) and one of the authors of the book "The Creation of the Republika Srpska", in his reaction to Silajdžić's claims, points out that the professor will be surprised if she reads any of the numerous ICTY verdicts.

"Perhaps this colleague from the University of Sarajevo, whose motives are yet to be determined, will be disappointed when she reads for the first time at least one of the many ICTY verdicts or some of the scientific works she references on the topic she problematizes. Perhaps then she would understand, as a 'scientist who does not problematize the truth,' as she defines herself, that 'based on some agreements' there is no need to determine 'the causes and immediate trigger of the unfortunate war' and the genocide against Bosniaks, because those facts are found in the pages of those verdicts and those scientific works," says Džananović.

He adds that the fact that more and more people with such and similar views are being employed and engaged at UNSA, and that for many of them the key confirmation of "scientific" verification comes from Belgrade or Zagreb, is something that should, at the very least, concern society and the University.
