Džaferović sends congratulation on Sandžak Day

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović sent a congratulation on Sandžak Day to the President of the Bosniak National Council Jasmina Curić and the President of the Bosniak Council in Montenegro Ejub Nurković.

On this day, 20 November 1943, the founding session of the Regional Anti-Fascist Council for the National Liberation of Sandžak (ZAVNOS) was held in Pljevlja.

This date is celebrated as Sandžak Day, based on the decision of the Bosniak National Council, and reminds us of the heroic anti-fascist struggle, which placed the people of Sandžak among those forces that fought for the salvation and survival of civilization.

This is one of the most significant dates for the Bosniak people of Sandžak, as well as for all citizens of Sandžak.

With full respect for the fact that we live in several different states, I want to say that the Bosniaks of Sandžak and Bosnia and Herzegovina constitute one and the same people, with a unique national identity, language, culture and tradition.

To the Bosniak National Council and the Bosniak Council in Montenegro, to the Sandžak Bosniaks, as well as to all citizens of Sandžak, I extend sincere congratulations on this day.
