Džaferović in Paris attended the commemoration of Chirac's death

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Member of the Presidency of BiH Šefik Džaferović, along with more than 30 heads of state and government, paid his last respects to the former President of the Republic of France, who passed away on September 26 at the age of 86, at the Saint-Sulpice church.

"We will remember Jacques Chirac in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a great friend of our country, who made a strong contribution to the engagement of the international community in stopping the war, and later in establishing peace, reintegrating BiH and paving its Euro-Atlantic path. The name of President Chirac will be recorded in history as an honorable name, because he was among those world leaders who clearly distinguished good from evil," is part of the text that the member of the BiH Presidency Džaferović wrote in the book of condolences, the Presidency announced.

Džaferović also attended a lunch hosted at the Élysée Palace for heads of state and government by the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron.

In a brief conversation with President Macron, the member of the BiH Presidency Džaferović thanked him for the hospitality, emphasizing that the commemoration was dignified and magnificent, as befits a great man like President Chirac.

Džaferović, highlighting the good relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of France, extended an invitation to President Macron to visit our country.
