Goran Zubac, Director of SIPA, has been found guilty by the BiH Court for negligence in office because on February 7th he failed to provide requested assistance to the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies when the BiH Presidency building was set on fire, writes the Patria News Agency.
Reactions to this verdict are arriving, and Šefik Džaferović, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament and a member of SDA, told Patria that the party's stance has been known for some time. However, he could not predict what further steps would be taken, given that Zubac's defense will appeal the first-instance verdict.
- At this moment, I cannot predict what the steps are and what will happen, but as for our stance, it has been known for some time – which is that he should have resigned from his position upon the filing of the indictment, and we have requested this several times – said Džaferović.
We remind you that SDA MPs in the previous convocation of the BiH Parliament wanted to seek the dismissal of the Independent Board of the BiH Parliament because it was their duty, according to regulations, to suspend Zubac, but this did not happen.
