SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović received today the Head of the European Union Delegation to BiH Johann Sattler, with whom he discussed the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the measures that institutions of our country at all levels are undertaking.
It was jointly assessed that the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina reacted in a timely manner and are undertaking a series of measures that should contribute to preventing the spread of the virus.
Ambassador Sattler emphasized that the European Union has always stood by Bosnia and Herzegovina in crisis situations in the past, as was the case during the floods that hit our country in 2014.
He emphasized that EU assistance will not be lacking this time either, and that the EU General Secretariat for Health is considering options for supporting our country.
The interlocutors agreed that the coronavirus pandemic is a specific challenge for all countries, and that, in addition to timely decisions by each state individually, it is necessary for every individual to strictly adhere to the instructions of health experts and contribute to preventing the spread of infection with their responsible behavior.
