Džaferović held a meeting with the Ambassador of Romania

Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania have very good mutual political relations, however, there is untapped potential for improving economic cooperation between the two countries., it was highlighted during today's meeting between the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Šefik Džaferović and the Ambassador of Romania to our country Filip Teodorescu, writes the Patria News Agency.

- Emphasizing Romania's full support for Bosnia and Herzegovina's path to membership in the European Union and NATO, Ambassador Teodorescu said that the British-German initiative, which has grown into an EU initiative, clearly shows that there is full interest from the European community of states for BiH to emerge from the phase of developmental stagnation and that our country should certainly make the best use of such a good atmosphere.

Speaker Džaferović agreed with this assessment, expressing hope that in the coming days, some of the challenges to the Joint Statement agreed upon by the BiH Presidency, which should soon be on the agenda of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, will be overcome. He supported this by stating that the issue of European integration is not a matter of government and opposition, but of all political forces and every citizen of BiH, because the benefits of such a commitment are indivisible, as are the damages we suffer due to the stagnation on the European path.
