Džaferović responds to Dodik: Incorrect interpretation of conversation on roaming prices

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik completely inaccurately interpreted in his statement to the media a telephone conversation with member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović, which relates to readiness to sign the Regional Agreement on reducing roaming prices for the countries of the Western Balkans, it was announced from the Cabinet of the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović.

"By inappropriate recounting and distorted interpretation of the telephone conversation, a wrong perception is created in the public that member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Džaferović is blocking or opposing the signing of this agreement. The truth is that member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović supports the signing of the Regional Agreement on reducing roaming prices for the countries of the Western Balkans. It was precisely Džaferović who, at a recent meeting with representatives of the European Commission, particularly emphasized that such a decision is in the interest of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina has not yet submitted the Proposal of the Agreement to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina," it was stated in the announcement.

The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is added, cannot approve an Agreement whose text has not been submitted to it, as announced by the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik.

"Given that, member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović initiated that the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina immediately request from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina to submit the text of the Agreement within seven days so that it can be approved at a session of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This will enable Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with other countries in the region, to sign the Agreement on reducing roaming prices at the Second Digital Summit of the Western Balkans, scheduled for April this year in Belgrade.
