Džaferović on the Strasbourg Court's decision: This was not BiH's response, but HDZ's, the Troika once again showed servility!

(Patria) - After the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights overturned the verdict in the case of Slaven Kovačević and determined that his rights were not violated, guesting on Hayat TV, delegate of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, Šefik Džaferović, attributed this scenario to the Troika.

"The current authorities did not deal with this case. They left everything to the ministers from the HDZ. The response that went to Strasbourg was not the response of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but of the political HDZ. This is another proof of their servility, for which the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina is suffering," stated Džaferović.

The verdict in the Kovačević case caused numerous reactions in the domestic public, after which lobbying began, and Christian Schmidt also wrote to the court!

Many international observers and analysts closely followed what decision the European Court of Human Rights would make in the "Kovačević" case, and according to MEP Tineke Strik, the court is under great pressure from various states and institutions to overturn its previous verdict.

"The amount of pressure that states and institutions are exerting on the Court to overturn its verdict of August 29, 2023, is absolutely unheard of. It also shows the importance of its outcome. All those who hope for a democratic, EU future for BiH should root for (Slaven) Kovačević," Strik stated in a social media post.
