Džaferović: Kebo's fabrication is a monstrous lie that came 20 years after the war

Regarding the repeated address of the Vice President of the Federation of BiH Mirsad Kebo to the public and the attempt to link the name of Šefik Džaferović to the alleged failure to report an alleged war crime, Džaferović responded and rejected Kebo's claims with disgust as a monstrous lie and fabrication.

- The seriousness of Kebo's claims is best seen from the reference to an alleged official note made on August 18, 1994, which speaks of entering the liberated town of Vozuća. It is known that Vozuća was liberated only in September 1995. Furthermore, Kebo claims in a letter sent to the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina that the alleged event happened on April 18, 1994, and I became the head of the Public Security Center Zenica three months later, i.e., on July 15, 1994 - Džaferović's statement reads.

It is further stated that this case involves an attempt at classic political discreditation of Džaferović as the head of the state Parliament.

- Otherwise, the fact that Kebo's fabrication comes 20 years after the war and immediately after my election as the Speaker of the House of Representatives cannot be explained. I call on the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to respond as soon as possible regarding Kebo's "claims". If criminal proceedings are initiated against me for any criminal offense, I declare that I will immediately withdraw from the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, without waiting for the outcome of the proceedings. However, in case of a different turn of events, I demand that criminal proceedings be initiated against Mirsad Kebo for the criminal offense of false reporting - it is added.
