Džaferović and Schmid: Focus of talks also on blockade of institutions

(Patria) - Member of the Presidency of BiH Šefik Džaferović received OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid. They discussed the current security crisis caused by unilateral actions of the authorities of the entity Republika Srpska. Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Džaferović emphasized that the authorities of the RS entity can realize their announcements only by attempting to use unlawful force against the institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which would destroy peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The focus of the talks was also the blockade of institutions, which resulted from the non-attendance of representatives and ministers from the RS entity at sessions of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the Council of Ministers of BiH, as well as the voting of the member of the Presidency of BiH from that entity against all agenda items of the sessions of the Presidency of BiH.

Member of the Presidency of BiH Džaferović stressed that the actions of the ruling structure in RS, led by Dodik, are not an isolated incident, but part of a multi-year project, the ultimate intention of which is of a secessionist nature. They also discussed OSCE proposals regarding increasing transparency and protecting the integrity of the electoral process.

The topic of the talks was also segregation in the form of "two schools under one roof", and discrimination in the education system, through the ban on the use of the Bosnian language in the RS entity.
