Džaferović: HDZ can dictate government because there is no strong pro-Bosniak political bloc

(Patria) - Delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament Šefik Džaferović (SDA) was a guest yesterday on the show 'Dobar dan, BiH' on Hayat Television.

Džaferović, among other things, spoke about the continuous obstructions in the work of the House of Peoples carried out by its president Nikola Špirić (SNSD). However, he began his guest appearance with a comment on the postponed session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament.

- That happens when you have an imposed government, against the will of the people, both in the FBiH and at the state level. The parliamentary majority at the federal level has one or two representatives, bypassed the strongest party and the Vice President of the FBiH from the Bosniak people, so nothing else should be expected - said Džaferović.

Even in such a situation, he adds, when there is no strong pro-Bosniak political bloc, it has been confirmed that the HDZ is the one dictating the terms of government.

- The 'Trojka' agreed to that and is now facing the consequences. In that context, it is very worrying that Nikšić recently apologized to Čović at a press conference, only to further explain it later on some show. And if you ask me, it would have been better if he hadn't explained it.

I am concerned about that statement in which he apologized because some foreigner, in this case Ambassador Murphy, helped BiH to get a good and necessary solution, so it turned out that Nikšić is not for that solution and that it wouldn't exist without Murphy.

Besides, it was condescending, servile, undignified, and such a gesture, in that way, is not fitting for a federal prime minister - points out Džaferović.

He then touched upon the work of the House of Peoples of the PSBiH, reminding that delegates requested an urgent session on April 24, and yesterday it was announced that it would be held only on May 19.

- These are double standards that are part of the collegium, I exclude colleague Ademović from this because he is not part of it, but Špirić and Čović are undertaking them.

This is the third session we are requesting, eight of us, and for them it is urgent if it is scheduled for almost a month. According to the Rules of Procedure, this session can be held within three days.

The first time we requested it, it was scheduled for 20 days, the second was held in a little over 20 days, and this third one is scheduled for almost a month from the date of the request.

When Čović and the Croat Club requested an urgent session for their reasons on Wednesday, it was scheduled for Friday, i.e., in less than 48 hours. That is the consistency of those who are now managing or trying to manage the House of Peoples or the entire BiH - states Džaferović.
