Džaferović: The agreement with Čović was to put the law into regular procedure, but that was before the withdrawal of the proposal

(Patria) - Šefik Džaferović, head of the Bosniak Club in the House of Peoples of the BiH PA, said at today's continuation of the 14th session, which began in March, there were no agreements with anyone and accusing this Club of some speculative actions is unfair. The Collegium of the House of Peoples did not remove the Bill on the Constitutional Court of BiH from the agenda, although the proposer informed the Collegium that they were withdrawing the proposal.

"On the day when Mr. Nešković withdraws this law, we had a meeting with the Speaker of the House and agreed on a procedure that guarantees us either that we have mechanisms in our hands by which this law will not be adopted in this House. We agreed then, before we heard that the law was withdrawn, to put it into regular procedure and through the commission procedure to remove it from parliamentary procedure. This gives us guarantees that the law will not be adopted in this House," said Džaferović.

After the meeting, the news arrived that the proposer had withdrawn the law, Džaferović reminded.

"A delegate has the right to withdraw a law and the House must respect that. We also offered a solution for the procedure. Vote on it before the point. We did not leave the sessions to block the work of the House, but we withheld the quorum because we had no other mechanisms," said Džaferović.

The Bosniak Club proposed a conclusion, referring to Article 175 of the Rules of Procedure, that the House make a decision, i.e., adopt the conclusion of the Bosniak Delegates' Club, by which the Proposal is considered withdrawn and removed from the session of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA.

After the explanation of the proposer Želimir Nešković regarding the urgency of the procedure for the Bill on the Constitutional Court of BiH, Džaferović took the floor. He requested a vote on the proposed conclusion of the Bosniak Club.

The Speaker of the House, Dragan Čović, said that the HDZ's position is to vote against the urgent and shortened procedure and that the law should go into regular procedure.

Kemal Ademović, a member of the Collegium, requested that the conclusion of the Bosniak Club be put to a vote.

Nikola Špirić reacted, stating that Nešković did not say he was withdrawing the proposal, but was talking about the urgency of the procedure.
