Džaferović: Attacks on the integrity of BiH and its institutions will be overcome

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Šefik Džaferović, member of the Presidency of BiH, congratulated the Statehood Day of BiH to all citizens of BiH.

"We should be proud of the past of BiH and celebrate all important dates in its history. This is a state that has existed for 1000 years. And one of the most significant dates is November 25, 1943, when BiH restored its statehood. After that, everything happened on those foundations, the independence referendum was held, the Constitution was established, Dayton. In BiH, we should always fight for the truth, it needs nothing more than the truth. Whenever attacks on BiH began, they first started with attacks on history, these are the methods of retrograde forces. One sad fact is that there are those who do not celebrate this day, and those people need to be told the truth. I hope that the day will come when everyone will celebrate this day," said Džaferović.

He pointed out that today there are attacks on the integrity of the state and its institutions, but these attacks will be overcome.

"BiH is a great idea, a massive rock, everyone has broken against Bosnia, and these will break too," he said.

Džaferović said that the state has no mechanism to respond to the denial or ignoring of state holidays.

"The key problem of the state is how to establish a mechanism of responsibility without it being the international community. They are withdrawing and leaving BiH unfairly, I hope they have understood where this leads. BiH needs to build its own mechanisms of political responsibility. We are a prosperous state with good people," concluded Džaferović.
