DOUBLE STANDARDS: Does Covic and Radončić not mind the questionable legitimacy of Bosniaks and Croats in the RS Government!?

Bosnia and Herzegovina is experiencing the greatest institutional and constitutional crisis, on one hand SNSD and Milorad Dodik are already working on undermining the Constitution and transferring competencies from the state to the RS entity regarding defense, security, and tax system competencies, on the other hand, HDZ and Dragan Čović, through amendments to the Election Law, want to create apartheid and, with their views on legitimate representation and constitutionality, are distancing BiH from democratic countries.

But does Čović only need legitimacy in the Federation!? This is another proof of his partnership with Dodik and their desire to divide Bosnia and Herzegovina and create a concept of a composite state.

Suzana Gašić, Anton Kasapović, Zlatan Klokić, Srebrenka Golić, Alen Šeranić, Sonja Davidović, Senka Jujić, and Vjekoslav Petričević are non-Serbs, specifically Croats and Bosniaks in the Government of Republika Srpska, who have not, with a single sentence, questioned the secessionist policy of Milorad Dodik. 

“How is it possible that in these turbulent times, none of the members of the Government of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity of Republika Srpska from the ranks of Bosniaks and Croats, and there are 5 Bosniaks and 3 Croats in the Government, have resigned from their positions or at least expressed their disagreement with the policy of the Government and the National Assembly, which represents anti-Dayton actions and an attack on the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina? Perhaps the problem lies in legitimate representation,“ asked legal expert Enver Išerić.

Of course, the legitimacy of Bosniaks and Croats in the RS Government is not disputed by Čović; he does not talk about it, just as Fahrudin Radončić, the president of SBB, does not see anything wrong with the legal and legitimate representation of Croats in the Presidency of BiH.

“Everyone is working for that to happen. That Croats have that comfort, as a national corpus, that Bosniaks do not disenfranchise them. Let Komšić win with Croatian votes, what is the problem? Bosniaks elect two members of the Presidency,“ Radončić said earlier.

Radončić does not talk about the comfort of Bosniaks and Croats in the Republika Srpska entity!

And persistently, with such views and double standards, we have moved away from the essence when it comes to the Election Law of BiH. 

The goal is, first and foremost, to implement the rulings of the Strasbourg Court; they are not fluid and open to different interpretations, and none of them concern legitimacy.

In this context, we will recall that the German Government, regarding the election law reform process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, clearly stated that the principle of "legitimate political representation" could further deepen the division of BiH and complicate the implementation of relevant court rulings.
