A Bosnian man had to sell his snake – a corn snake – after getting married, and he announced this news on the online marketplace PIK, writes the BH news agency Patria (NAP).
The reptile enthusiast from Bosanska Gradiška had to give up his hobby because his wife is afraid of snakes, so he stated in the ad that he recently has two snakes in the house and must get rid of one immediately. With a heavy heart, he decided that the corn snake would be the one to "fly" out of the house.
He is asking 150 KM for it, stating that it is not dangerous unless it is hungry, is about one meter long, and feeds on mice.
Otherwise, it is not permitted to import and trade exotic animals in BiH. According to the Law on the Protection and Welfare of Animals of BiH, fines for keeping and trading exotic animals in BiH can range from 200 to even 200,000 KM, writes NAP.
