Two elderly women died in a fire in the Zenica village of Hajkovići

(Patria) - Zenica was shaken by a tragedy early this morning. Two elderly women lost their lives in a fire that engulfed a house in the village of Hajkovići.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton received a report of a fire in the house at number 57, owned by A.F. (1937), around 3:30 AM.

Firefighters managed to localize the fire, but they are still on the scene. The house suffered total damage.

The owner and another woman, identified as D.S. (1955), died in the fire.

An investigation was conducted by officers of the Criminal Police Department, and it was supervised by the duty cantonal prosecutor.

Hajkovići is a village located east of Zenica, on the slopes of Smetovi, and belongs to the villages of the Babinski basin.
