Two people infected with coronavirus in KS, no deaths

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In the past 24 hours, two new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton, while nine people have recovered in the same period.

334 people were tested.

Of this number, one newly infected person comes from a family cluster.

There were no deaths of people infected with this virus.

Currently, 62 people are hospitalized in KS, with 25 at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo and 37 patients at the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš".

Three patients are on ventilators, all at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo.

At the same time, three patients in the General Hospital are using oxygen support for breathing above 15 liters per minute. No one was discharged from hospitalization in the past 24 hours.

77 patients were examined in the Covid outpatient clinics of the Public Institution Health Center KS, of whom one was transported to the General Hospital.

83 PCR tests were taken at the drive-in testing point at Vrbanja, while there were no PCR tests at other drive-in points.

The total number of PCR swabs taken at the points and Covid outpatient clinics is 257.

The Covid call center recorded 82 calls, and 131 conversations with patients were conducted via phone numbers in the Covid outpatient clinics.

According to data from the Institute of Public Health KS, in the past seven days, the average number of infected people is 11, while the weekly incidence, i.e., the number of sick people per 100,000 inhabitants, is 19.

Sarajevo Canton currently records 258 active cases of COVID-19 infection. The total number of infected to date is 52,457, and the total number of recovered is 50,929. Currently, 1,663 of our fellow citizens are in self-isolation.

"There is a break at the Olympic Hall 'Juan Antonio Samaranch' (Zetra) until Tuesday, when the immunization of the population will continue according to priorities, including oncological patients, and according to lists from the University Clinical Center Sarajevo. Revaccination will also begin on Tuesday," stated the Crisis Headquarters.

The Ministry of Health KS and healthcare institutions thank the citizens and ask them to continue to comply with all prescribed hygienic-epidemiological measures.
