Duvnjak files criminal charges against Dodik with BiH Prosecutor's Office and HNK Prosecutor's Office: Let's protect the honor and dignity of thousands of victims!

(Patria) - Member of the Main Board of the Party of Democratic Action, Jasmin Duvnjak, yesterday filed two criminal charges as a citizen for denying (minimizing and cursing) genocide against Milorad Dodik.

“What is impossible and unimaginable in the civilized world is a bitter and sad reality here. Peace activist from Belgrade, Aida Ćorović, was finally convicted for throwing eggs at the mural of war criminal and bloodthirsty Ratko Mladić. On the other hand, they deny us genocide for years, insult the nation and the state, mock the victims, as one journalist says, ‘play a verbal dance over mass graves’... With the recent cursing of genocide, they have gone a step further in dehumanizing the victims. Such verbal aggression is so abnormal, disturbed, and primitive that one doesn't even know how to react. Such vile words introduce intolerance and discord among the people, and undermine peace in the country and the region,” Duvnjak stated, writes Patria.

As he says, in the name of the honor of thousands of murdered, in the name of protecting the dignity of their families, and in the name of a safer future for all citizens, we have no right to remain silent!

Duvnjak filed two criminal charges, one with the Prosecutor's Office of BiH based on Article 145a of the Criminal Code of BiH (Inzko's amendments to the law) and one with the Prosecutor's Office of HNK based on Article 163 of the Criminal Code of FBiH (Inciting national, racial, and religious hatred, discord, or intolerance).

Duvnjak explains the reasons for filing the criminal charges: “We have no right to remain silent! We must use all available legal means and state judicial institutions to recognize, report, and punish such behavior. It is surprising that the participants of the meeting and direct witnesses of the cursing of genocide have not filed a criminal complaint against Milorad Dodik for committing a criminal offense even six months after this event,” writes Patria.

In his report to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, Duvnjak listed Zukan Helez, Kemal Ademović, Dragan Čović, and Predrag Kojović as witnesses, participants of a political coalition meeting in Konjic, in the summer of this year.

“As a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a clear conscience, based on the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code, I have submitted a criminal complaint to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH for a criminal offense under Article 145a of the Criminal Code of BiH and a criminal complaint to the Prosecutor's Office of HNK for a criminal offense under Article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH. I eagerly await a reaction from the competent judicial authorities, based on legal authorizations. We will see if the eggshell on the mural of a convicted fascist is more dangerous to society as a whole than the chauvinistic cursing and crude threats to victims by a high-ranking BiH official,” concluded Duvnjak.
