Duško Bajević supports coach Baždarević

Member of the NS/FS BiH Mediation and Advisory Board Dušan Bajević is closely following all developments related to our national team's match against Belgium on October 7th at Grbavica Stadium, reports Patria agency.

- Of course, I am following all developments, which is normal because this is the most important match for us in these qualifiers. I am packing my bags as I will be coming to Sarajevo soon to watch our national team live at Grbavica - Bajević told the official website of the association.

When asked if he believes we can win, Mr. Bajević said in one breath:

- We have always given our best when it was most needed. We are in such a situation now because there are no second chances anymore. I believe that we can mentally recover after the unfortunate loss against Cyprus. That is crucial for this match. We need to bring back that winning spirit, we must believe in ourselves and in our qualities. We all know and talk about how strong Belgium is as a team, but that is not the path we should take.

We need to talk about our strength, about our qualities that we certainly possess. In matches like these, we need unity, we need everyone to believe that we can do it, because there are many examples where we achieved victories with such an approach that we thought were impossible.

The match of our national team against Belgium is being closely followed by the entire Greek public, given that their qualification for the playoffs depends on the result at Grbavica. Who better to convey their thoughts than the "Prince of the Neretva" who has specialized in Greek football in every sense.

- Here in Greece, all developments related to our national team and the Belgian team are being followed with great attention. New information appears every day. They have even started warning themselves that the BiH - Belgium match is receiving too much attention, and that everyone is forgetting that Greece also has two upcoming matches in which they must achieve victories, and only then hope that Belgium helps them. I think they have turned their thoughts too much towards us because since the end of the Greece - Belgium match, they have started with calculations and computations on how they can secure second place in the group.

At the end of the conversation, Bajević emphasized that we should all give selfless support to the players and the professional staff because they are under the greatest pressure and we should help them cope with that pressure:

- I believe in coach Baždarević. I know he will do everything to free the players from pressure. We should all give them support, and their task is to rise from the current situation, to believe in themselves, and to believe that they can achieve victory. The most important thing is that they give their maximum, that they have the desire, and when that is the case, then such an approach will be rewarded - concluded Bajević.
