Duraković: The leader of the SNSD has formed a commission for the referendum in Srebrenica, he does as he pleases!

 

The Mayor of Srebrenica, Ćamil Duraković, reacted to the decision to form a commission for conducting a referendum in this municipality, according to a press release signed by Duraković, reports the Patria news agency.

-The entity commission for conducting the referendum today formed a municipal commission for the referendum without any cooperation with the municipal administration in Srebrenica.

It introduced a kind of precedent: the members of the commission were not proposed by legitimate municipal bodies but by the coalition of Serbian parties “Together for Srebrenica”, formed for the needs of this year's local elections.

The municipal commission for conducting the referendum was formed exclusively by Serbian parties without the participation of the pro-Bosnian bloc, i.e., parties that do not even have a majority in the Municipal Assembly.

I do not know on what basis a mono-ethnic coalition believes that without electoral legitimacy it can impose its solutions on all citizens of Srebrenica. However, the matter is even more serious if we consider that the coalition “Together for Srebrenica” was officially registered in the official premises of the SNSD in Banja Luka. Therefore, the composition of the commission is not even a proposal of the Serbian people, but Milorad Dodik formed this commission for himself.

Milorad Dodik has so far violated the Constitution of BiH, at the moment of forming the municipal commission in Srebrenica he also violated the Constitution of the RS, as well as all basic rules of democracy. A few days ago I warned that Dodik would not stop at the referendum, and today, from his behavior towards Srebrenica, it is evident that his plan is to create some kind of party para-state entity, where he could do whatever he pleases.

The fake commission for conducting the referendum cannot count on any cooperation from the Municipality of Srebrenica, and I will ask the competent authorities to investigate the manner of its formation, Duraković concludes.
