Duraković: The envisioned 'Greater Israel' cannot survive in a Muslim ocean of Arabs, Iranians, Turks

(Patria) - Academician Esad Duraković was a guest on the BHT1 uživo show today, and the topic he discussed was the Middle East, specifically the fragile ceasefire recently reached between Hamas and Israel.

- This so-called ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is actually a kind of trick, a ruse, a deception. Just as we had so-called humanitarian ceasefires, during which the Israelis stop bombing Gaza to allow food to be distributed, and then they resume bombing - Duraković said at the beginning.

He emphasizes that it is merely a tactic, given that Israel's goal, which it will not abandon - because it is a dogma for them - is the creation of Greater Israel.

- And that, among other things, implies the complete erasure of Gaza from the face of the earth, meaning its population, as well as the West Bank, but then also Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and even parts of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Zionists believe that Yahweh commanded them to create Greater Israel and to return to the territory that allegedly existed about 2000 years ago. We are essentially dealing with a distinctly and exclusively religious war here.

Zionist forces are trying to realize biblical prophecies. The problem is that behind such a religious and fanatical plan and idea stand today the most powerful countries of the West - the USA with its 50 million tele-evangelists in America. Of course, we see that Germany and many other powerful countries also support this - Duraković underlined.

Speaking about expectations from the new US administration led by Donald Trump, Duraković points out that he expects further escalation.

- Biden was from the Democratic Party and he publicly declared himself a supporter of Zionism. But as far as I remember, in his first term, Trump moved the Israeli capital to Jerusalem, which is extremely negative in this context.

Let's also keep in mind that his son-in-law is Jewish, that his daughter converted to Judaism, that he is a man who belongs to the Republican Party, and those Zionist evangelicals or so-called Christian fundamentalists, who are very powerful in America, have an extremely strong influence on the entire Republican Party. And these people, evangelicals, influence the entire US Congress and the largest part, or almost the entire Republican Party - Duraković stated, reports Patria.

The show's host asked him what the fact that the new US Secretary of State openly supports Israel could mean for the Middle East and how much it could complicate things for the Palestinians.

Duraković points out that it is in the direction of realizing the insane idea of Greater Israel, because the creation of large states inevitably leads to catastrophe - envisioned to completely eliminate Palestine, and the Gaza Strip, but also the West Bank.

- And that is why I expect further escalation, they will not give up on their goals - Duraković is of the opinion.

One of the questions was also how long this fragile ceasefire could last, given that the Israeli army is already violating it by arresting Palestinians in the West Bank.

- When this ceasefire was announced and when the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel took place, I immediately told my family that Israel would very easily and very quickly "repay" those prisoners from the Palestinian people. And they indeed immediately started arresting people in the West Bank.

We must keep one thing in mind: six, seven, let's say ten million Israelis cannot survive in the long term with such a crime among about 450 million Arabs, plus however many Iranians and Turks there are. So, in a "Muslim ocean".

It is to be expected that one day there will be a revolt of the Arab people, who have strong empathy for the suffering of the Palestinians, and that this Arab people will replace the regimes that exist there, which I define as clients of the USA, or Zionism. And then radical changes will occur in that part of the world - Duraković says, reports Patria.

He characterized the reaction of Arab countries during the war in the Gaza Strip as cowardly-shameful-inhumane behavior.

- Today, we in the Middle East have a total collapse of international law, humanity, all human values. Where all civilizations originated, the first writings, monotheistic religions, where God's messengers walked... Today, all the values and ideals of the modern world are being buried there.

Especially sinister is precisely the behavior of Muslim countries, primarily Arab ones, which persistently cooperate logistically with Israel, which is committing genocide in Gaza. Arab regimes generally cooperate with that regime, with that Zionist army - Duraković notes.

He also touched upon the behavior, or rather the failures, of the international community in the Gaza Strip.

- The international community, let's recall our situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, persistently enforces double standards. In BiH, when we were attacked by all three neighboring countries, an arms embargo was imposed on us so that our state would disappear as soon as possible.

The same is happening now in Palestine. I don't know exactly how many United Nations resolutions have been adopted, no one respects them. Israel is above and beyond all laws, it feels unbound by international law - Duraković notes.

Peace initiatives, the academic believes, yield no results. On the contrary.

- The territory where Palestinians have lived since 1948 is getting narrower and smaller. Children, the elderly, the helpless are being killed there. Moreover, they are destroying Palestinians' olive groves and detonating their wells, fighting against their water. There is no epic in the world that can express the tragedy of the Palestinian people that we are witnessing today - concluded academician Esad Duraković.
