Ćamil Duraković, Mayor of Srebrenica Municipality, says that life is returning to this city more and more every day, writes bh. news agency Patria.
In the last year, he says, about 130 new jobs have been opened here in the production sector and about 20 new jobs in administration. Such data, says Duraković, indicate that there is hope for a better life in Srebrenica.
- We are trying to create a political environment that will facilitate investors, not complicate their business. We have largely succeeded in this, as seen through several production facilities that we opened during the last and this year – Duraković told Patria.
On July 11, Srebrenica will once again be the center of the world. About 150 victims, killed during the Serbian aggression against BiH from '92 to '95, will be buried in this city.
- The floods that hit us this year have partly complicated the preparations for July 11. We have never had fewer sessions of the Organizational Committee responsible for this date – says Duraković.
- However, I do not see any major obstacles that could hinder our further work. As for July 11, it will be marked in a dignified manner, as in previous years – he states.
Duraković says that Srebrenica has had a special public focus since '92, but in recent years he has been trying to deal with other things that are essential for the lives of the citizens of this place.
- We want to make life easier for the people who have returned to this city, and it is clear that this cannot be achieved without a strong economy – Duraković told Patria.
