Duraković: You are doing everything wrong, viciously and backwards! You are reducing us to warring tribes...

(Patria) - BH academic Esad Duraković comments for DEPO Portal on the current negotiations regarding the Election Law and everything happening around the "meeting in Neum", addressing primarily the representatives of the international community with the message - you are doing everything viciously and backwards!

In his address, academic Duraković states the following:  

Gentlemen,

For years now – including these days – you have been wandering through Bosnian cafes and hotels, both literally and figuratively, supposedly searching for a solution to the problems in BiH. We call those places taverns, with an abundance of negative connotations.

You invite people from BiH who represent neither the peoples nor the institutions to talks in those political taverns, and you agree with them on the fate of the state, the peoples, and the institutions. Are you not aware of what you are doing?!

You give legitimacy to those people – who are flattered by it and who capitalize on it – and thereby you delegitimize the institutions that should decide the fate of the country and its peoples. Everything you have been doing for years is more than wrong. You are reducing us to warring tribes and supposedly seeking a solution in an agreement with their chieftains.

Are these European standards?!

Would you do such a thing in your own countries?! You are doing everything backwards, truly  - viciously and backwards!

Stop trampling on our dignity, on BiH's centuries-old state experience! Stop belittling and delegitimizing state institutions, as well as the rulings of the highest European institutions on human rights. You are insulting our dignity, our human and international rights...

As if it were some severe relapse: today you treat us in Bosnia as you once treated tribal communities in Africa or elsewhere around the white world!
