Duraković: My people expect more from me than Serbs from Dodik, that's why I will not remain silent!

SNSD began its election campaign last night in Srebrenica. The party's president Milorad Dodik spoke at the rally. Today, on his Facebook profile, the mayor of Srebrenica, Ćamil Duraković, commented on this rally, reports the Patria news agency.

-Last night, Dodik insulted me again in my hometown of Srebrenica... Dodik comes from Laktaši and in the middle of my town square he insulted me in a primitive manner. He says, "What's his name, that Ćamil," and says, "imagine the cretin Ćamil," etc.

And I just refuse to bow to his politics. As I am, I cannot remain silent... My people expect more from me than Serbs from Dodik. I feel obliged to speak on behalf of my childhood friends scattered in mass graves and in the cemetery in Potočari, as well as on behalf of their unborn children, mothers who die humiliated and whose lives have been destroyed and rendered meaningless by genocide.

I will not remain silent!! Not on behalf of my people!! Not because of the campaign and mandates, but because of our history and future..., Duraković said.
