Duraković: Komšić understands the problems of returnees and supports Odgovor's activities

At today's meeting between representatives of the Odgovor Movement and the leader of the Democratic Front, Željko Komšić, it was confirmed that the DF does not oppose the initiative for a joint list and a Bosniak platform, but what they explicitly do not accept is any form of joint action with the Party of Democratic Action, writes Patria agency.

The DF expressed readiness for talks in Srebrenica, but stated they would not participate in a meeting attended by SDA representatives.

- Željko Komšić showed great interest in the events in the RS entity. When the story about support in Srebrenica in 2012 was being decided, he was with us. In the Domovina agreement, the DF did not ask for any position when they supported the joint list. Komšić had a correct attitude towards me as well when I was mayor.

He was also a signatory of the first appeal regarding the issue of discrimination in education in the Konjević Polje case. He has a genuine understanding of the problems of us returnees, and I am convinced that we will be able to make an important step forward in the negotiation process regarding the stance of Bosniak parties in the RS entity.

I regret that there is no room for a joint meeting of all Bosniak parties in one place. However, I understand the context and the relationships. We will hold the meeting on September 28, and our doors will remain open.

After all, who are we to determine what the Bosniak bloc is? Odgovor's mission is not to impose itself as the final 'evaluator', but to continue doing good work on the ground and gathering people, stopping divisions, and reconciling those whom we believe are ready to act in the interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the idea of equality for all its citizens – said Ćamil Duraković.
