Duraković: Dodik's threats of Bosnia's disintegration should be taken very seriously

(Patria) - Academician Esad Duraković was a guest on N1 television, where he spoke about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After the rally in Banja Luka and the renewed denial of genocide, and yet another in a series of Dodik's threats of Bosnia's disintegration, Duraković says that the rhetoric of the President of Republika Srpska should be taken very seriously.

- Of course it should be taken very seriously because in 1992, aggression was carried out, from outside and inside, against Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of dividing it, carving it up, and achieving ethnic homogenization.

Until Dayton, there was one phase, an armed one. Now, in the opinion of Dodik and his mentors from Serbia, it is time for the second phase, a peaceful separation, and if Bosnia cannot be divided that way, if they cannot secede, then they can go for the war option. They are ready for that and it should not be underestimated - said Duraković.

Due to Dodik's statements, he directed direct criticism at international officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Why does the international community, which is obliged to intervene in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I mean the High Representative and others, not react to a whole series of Dodik's unconstitutional, anti-state actions, laws, threats, not only verbalization, but also the passing of laws.

The international community and those people are obliged by their mandate to react overnight if necessary to dismantle those arrogant, insolent politicians who are bringing their own people and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the brink of new bloodshed here - emphasizes Duraković.

He also directed serious criticism at the leader of the NiP, Elmedin Konaković, and others who form the government with Dodik.

- That same minister cooperates with Dodik, they meet in taverns, pubs, at Dodik's private estate, they pander to him, coddle him, instead of meeting in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, thus giving him factual and symbolic significance.

They constantly make concessions to him, that is not enough, and patriots should not be convinced that this is, excuse the expression, Dodik's "hollow", empty talk. He has very serious intentions, and his mentors and people should be warned to be cautious - said Duraković.

He called on citizens to be more active through protests and resistance to this situation, which, as he stated, must be non-violent and democratic.
