Duraković: Bosniaks marked BiH Independence Day by going to Potočari

Bosniaks in Srebrenica who work in the Municipality, or elsewhere, are marking BiH Independence Day today. Children also did not go to school, writes the news agency Patria.

The Mayor of Srebrenica Municipality, Ćamil Duraković, told NAP that March 1 is marked in Srebrenica by going to the Potočari Memorial Center.

- At the place that is one of the pillars of today's independent and sovereign homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we lay flowers and pay tribute to the victims of genocide. To those who paid the highest price for our state, its independence and sovereignty. Bosniaks in the RS, an entity that institutionally denies the state of BiH, have a double obligation to mark important dates for us and the state - says Duraković.

BiH Independence Day, as former SDP representative in the NSRS, Behzad Čirkin, told us, was "shyly" marked in Prijedor.

The festive atmosphere was felt only in Kozarac, where numerous citizens, Bosniaks, visited the martyr cemetery and paid tribute to the heroes of the aggression against BiH.

In Vlasenica, they dare not even think about marking BiH Independence Day in any way, so Bosniak children went to class. Only the workers of "Cimos" wrote a petition and today Bosniaks did not come to work.
