Durak wrote to Konaković: Would you come to my pre-election rally, as you attend SDA rallies

Independent candidate for the mayor of Ilijaš municipality, Enes Durak, wrote to the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Elmedin Konaković, warning him "that it is not right that he attends SDA pre-election rallies while ignoring other rallies, because he is the prime minister whose government is financed by all citizens, regardless of party affiliation."

Durak's letter is fully presented by NAP:

Dear Prime Minister Elmedin Konaković.

My name is Enes Durak, I am an independent candidate for the mayor of Ilijaš municipality in the elections on October 2nd. I want to ask you if I also have the right to use the money and resources of Sarajevo Canton in the pre-election campaign, just as you use those resources to promote SDA candidates for the upcoming elections.

I wonder, if I invited you to come to my gathering with fellow citizens, would you come? I'm thinking, there would be no reason for you to refuse the invitation. You would charge for fuel and time from the same sources as when you promote party colleagues. And that source, as you know, we all fill, both the people of Ilijaš who support me, and me together with them. Therefore, we all fill the budget and we all have the right to it. And, I am sure you know that non-transparent spending of public funds is a criminal offense.

Since I am writing to you, I want to thank you for what you have done for the Elementary School in Srednje.

I would also like to remind you that the school in Srednje was adapted with money from the World Bank. And my people from Ilijaš and I will repay the World Bank's money. Therefore, in the end, the credit for the renovation of that school will belong more to my fellow citizens and me than to you and your party colleagues, so I would ask you to be a little careful when you talk publicly or in company about your and your party colleagues' successes. Do not forget that the burden of those successes is carried by the citizens of Sarajevo Canton.

Dear Prime Minister, I also want to thank you for initiating several infrastructural projects in the area of Ilijaš, although some of them were not even planned for this year. You initiated those projects before the elections in order to curry favor with the citizens and leave your party colleague, Mr. Akif Fazlić, in power. Thank you for that on behalf of my people from Ilijaš and myself, regardless of your intentions, we will at least benefit a little from you.

Dear Prime Minister, when the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina began, I stood before my fighters and began to command everyone equally, without separating or favoring any of them. Our goal was to liberate the country from the enemy. Today, these are also difficult times for our country, but I am surprised that you only take care of your party colleagues and sympathizers of your party, and often forget about others. A society is not built on stratification and nepotism, Prime Minister.
