Dupovac: Unanimous decisions are not made in the Municipality of Hadžići, let the press service stop lying to citizens!

Mirsad Dupovac, president of the Municipal Board of SDP BiH Hadžići, contacted the editorial office of the Patria news agency, because, as he pointed out, he has an obligation to respond to the untruths that the press service of the municipality of Hadžići presented regarding decision-making in the Municipal Council of Hadžići.

It is known that untruths are being disseminated to the public about decision-making in the Municipal Council, where an attempt is made to present an idyllic situation and how all decisions are made unanimously. That is simply not true!

- The SDP BiH Hadžići councilor club did not support any decision concerning the purchase of the said land, and we especially did not support the decision to indebt the municipality of Hadžići with commercial banks in the amount of 3.5 million KM for the purchase of the land of the PDI Bjelašnica, and we requested a public debate so that citizens could also participate in making this important decision, because ultimately it is the indebtedness of the citizens of the municipality of Hadžići. Which was, of course, rejected. Likewise, we did not support the issuance of bonds in the amount of one million KM from 2014 either – says Dupovac.

Furthermore, he explains that regarding the privatization of PDI Bjelašnica, he notes that the SDP councilor club in the 2004-2012 term requested a review of the privatization of the mentioned company.

- From the then Minister of Economy of the Sarajevo Canton, Abid Šarić, we received an official response stating (we paraphrase) „that the privatization was carried out in accordance with the law and that there are no grounds for initiating a review of the same.“ It is important to mention that we were not interested in which „government“, as the press service of the Municipality says in its statement, carried out the privatization; we were interested in whether it was done in accordance with the law. And we received an answer from Minister Šarić. We believe that the official Municipality should have been more actively involved in the privatization process itself, given that it concerns land and a company that existed in the area of the municipality of Hadžići and employed a significant number of workers, about which we have written earlier, and that it should not have just silently observed the mentioned events, even though it is not within the legal competence of the Municipality – adds Dupovac.
