Dupovac and Mutap remain in custody for another 60 days

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Extrajudicial Panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted the proposal of the BiH Prosecutor's Office and extended the custody of suspects Hasan Dupovac and Zijad Mutap for organized crime by 60 days, in connection with concealing the manner of death of the young man Dženan Memić, it was confirmed for Patria.

Prosecutor Ćazim Hasanspahić presented the proposal for extension of custody to the court yesterday, explaining that the reason for this measure still exists because the investigation is ongoing, new witnesses who require protection are being heard, and evidence is being collected. He stated that the investigation is being conducted in several directions and has been expanded to include several individuals from various institutions.

Dupovac and Mutap are suspected of the criminal offenses of "organized crime" and "assistance to the perpetrator after the commission of a criminal offense," and "unlawful mediation."

So far, five witnesses have requested protective measures, and the Prosecutor's Office has already ordered protection for two witnesses.

Hasanspahić stated that everything was done to steer the investigation into the death of Dženan Memić in a different direction.
