Dunović with Hidrogradnja workers: The problem must be resolved urgently

The Vice President of the Federation of BiH, Milan Dunović, received representatives of former workers of the bankrupt company Hidrogradnja Sarajevo. Dunović emphasized that the workers' problem must be resolved.

Jasmin Arifić, a disenfranchised worker, said that their basic demands are the retirement of 272 workers, the payment of eight unpaid salaries out of 36, and the payment of severance pay.

- Hidrogradnja workers have been trying to assert their rights on the street for 90 days because government representatives are deaf to their problem, and even lack the will. These problems did not arise yesterday; they have been happening for four electoral periods. This is the fourth government inheriting their problem and not solving it – said Dunović.

He also pointed out that workers have not had pension and health insurance for 15 years.

- All the issues are difficult and are to the detriment of the workers. However, they are in an even worse position. Workers did not receive salaries, or they received them without contributions. After the bankruptcy in 2016, most workers were sent to the employment bureau, and some cannot retire.
