Dunović tells Čavara: Submit the list of MPs of the new majority, then I will sign the appointment of ministers

Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milan Dunović responded on the social network Facebook to the recent statements of the President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marinko Čavara stating that he will try to explain in this way that DF, nor Dunović himself, are not an obstacle to the functioning of the government, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

- His task is to cooperate, not to "overcome" each other. The Constitution of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the responsibility towards the citizens of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina oblige us to that cooperation. I must admit that I do not recall any previous attempt to form a new Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that I was that, as the President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina says, obstacle that needs to be "overcome". The truth is that there has been no new parliamentary majority so far, and that is the only reason for the stagnation in the functioning of the government in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for which neither the Democratic Front nor the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Democratic Front bear any responsibility - wrote Dunović.

The Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina explains that now, even when a new parliamentary majority has been announced, he has information that there are actually not the minimum 50 votes in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- To avoid a situation where we sign a government for which there is no majority to vote for it in Parliament, I will protect myself in a way that no one can get the signature of the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in advance. Namely, before putting my signature of consent on the appointment of new ministers, I request from the new parliamentary majority the submission of at least 50 names of MPs, with their own signatures, who are ready to support the appointment of new ministers. Otherwise, the new majority does not exist, and I will hold responsible those who mislead the public with statements about a formed new majority and that I am an obstacle to the functioning of the government - concluded Dunović.
