(Patria) - Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milan Dunović (DF) spoke today during the session of Circle 99 on the topic "A stable BiH cannot be built with policies of concessions to ethnonationalism".
Dunović says that the very topic of the policy of concessions to ethnonationalism can be viewed in two segments, and that it is implemented both at the state level and at the level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Regarding the fact that such a policy of concessions is being implemented, Dunović says it has been evident for 28 years.
"Something I consider to be a fact is that the politics of ethnonationalism - not only cannot build a prosperous BiH - but cannot build any kind of BiH. I say this because 28 years after the signing of the Dayton Agreement, I see where BiH is heading, where young people are heading, what the structure of living is like. Thus we come to the conclusion that ethnonational policies do not lead BiH towards prosperity," Dunović believes.
He then also mentioned the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights, saying that the principle of constituent peoples does not build a good BiH.
"I must say that in the last year, all citizens of BiH see concessions on a daily basis, and in such a way that concessions are allowed to ethnic policies and parties, and in return they will change and lead us into the EU and NATO. I think that today, a year later, there is no citizen of BiH who is not aware that this is not true," adds Dunović and continues:
"Regarding NATO integration, we are further behind than we were. Why is that so, that is a question for those who make concessions. This is one of the concessions to ethnic policies that do not want it because they fulfill the political goals of neighboring countries, specifically in this case Serbia. In the FBiH, we see concessions allowed to the HDZ, which provide services to Croatia. O'Brien clearly articulated what is happening with the Southern Interconnection. Čović is close to a conflict with the US because of that. What we have not seen, and it is a fact that the Government of the FBiH is again making a concession to such policies because it does not want to appoint the supervisory board of BH Gas," says Dunović.
He concluded that policies of compromise with ethnopolitics set BiH back a step.
