Given the recent conclusion of the Council for the Protection of Vital National Interest of the Constitutional Court of the Federation of BiH, which questioned the interpretation of the majority in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH, hereby I inform the public that it is my constitutional and moral obligation to take steps to clarify this ambiguity, announced Mian Dunović, Vice President of FBiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
From the conclusion of the Council for the Protection of Vital National Interest of the Constitutional Court of the Federation of BiH, it is evident that it is unequivocally stated that the Serb Club in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH is not filled and that a two-thirds majority cannot be 10 delegates, but a minimum of 12.
Analogously, the question of the overall absolute majority in the House of Peoples arises.
- I believe that the Constitutional Court of the Federation of BiH has jurisdiction to resolve this issue, and in that regard, I have an obligation, as an authorized appellant, to initiate a Request for the assessment of the constitutionality of all decisions and laws that were passed with less than 30 delegate votes in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBiH. This includes the very election of the President and Vice President of FBiH and all laws, decisions, and appointments made thereafter.
In the coming period, I will gather all relevant information so that the Request for the assessment of constitutionality can be initiated as soon as possible, said Dunović.
