Dunović: It worries me that foreign representatives put HDZ's demands on the agenda

(Patria) - Milan Dunović (DF), Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who was at negotiations with international representatives in the EU Delegation building yesterday and is also there today, said in a statement before the meeting that no progress was visible after yesterday's meeting.

Namely, yesterday there was talk about problems in the Federation of BiH, and today the focus will also be on blockades in this entity. As Dunović said, it is worrying that representatives of the international community put HDZ's demands on the agenda.

“They even verbalized at the meeting that something was placed on the agenda at the request of HDZ that needs to be discussed. One of those things is, as HDZ representatives said at the meeting, they believe that the ruling on Božo Ljubić's appeal has not been implemented and that the FBiH Constitution needs to be changed. They claim that the FBiH Constitution is not in accordance with the BiH Constitution,” Dunović emphasized.

Dunović pointed out that he said on behalf of DF that the ruling on Božo Ljubić's appeal has been implemented because the disputed article of the Election Law was deleted by order of the Constitutional Court of BiH.

“On the other hand, it is frivolous to say that the FBiH Constitution and the BiH Constitution are not in agreement in what HDZ considers disputed, because we know very well that Borjana Krišto once filed an appeal to assess an article of the FBiH Constitution, but she realized that there was no problem and withdrew that same appeal. Also, it worries me that representatives of NiP and SBB have not declared themselves on this issue, while representatives of SDP and Naša stranka spoke on this topic about the misplaced story about the Securities Commission, which is over, the Commission has been appointed, it is functioning. SDP representatives even said that at this moment it is difficult to say whether the FBiH Constitution is in accordance with the BiH Constitution, that we must not express subjective views. I believe these are not subjective views; if we do not know the Constitutions, both state and entity, then we cannot conduct serious talks,” said Dunović.

As he says, the next meeting in the EU Delegation building is scheduled for December 7, where all political parties should declare themselves on what was discussed today.

“I think DF has declared itself very precisely, and I think we all must be very aware of what is happening. What is happening is an offensive by HDZ to arrange some things according to the wishes of one political party. At yesterday's meeting, Palmer spoke about what he called a 'variable' political unit, which is the same as a virtual electoral unit, and that, in my conviction, is the same as a third entity. I said that this is absolutely unacceptable to us, that it is segregation of citizens on an ethnic basis. He stated that there is a similar example in the USA where not everyone has equal voting power in electoral votes, which is not entirely accurate, but I said that regardless of that, in the USA they create regional electoral units, while here they would be based exclusively on an ethnic principle. That is something that is unacceptable,” Dunović concluded.
