Đukanović: Denial of genocide will never have a place in Montenegro

(Patria) - Denial and relativization of genocide, glorification of war criminals, and lack of respect for victims of genocide and crimes against humanity will never have a place in Montenegro, stated the President of the state Milo Đukanović.

On the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime, he stated that Montenegro will continue to develop a culture of peace, tolerance, intercultural and interreligious dialogue.

“Montenegro will continue to develop a culture of peace, tolerance, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, by improving the quality of education, working with young people, strengthening democratic institutions, and adopting and implementing the highest democratic values”, stated Đukanović on Twitter.

He said that the state will continue to strengthen society's resilience to violence, xenophobia, and all forms of discrimination.

“Denial and relativization of the crime of genocide, glorification of war criminals, and lack of respect for victims of genocide and crimes against humanity will never have their place in traditionally multi-ethnic and modern European Montenegro”, stated Đukanović.
