Đukanović mobilizes Montenegrin Ministry of Defence and General Staff

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, in accordance with his constitutional powers, has requested urgent action from the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro in order to create conditions for making appropriate decisions in the Security and Defence Council and the Parliament of Montenegro.

"The obligations arise from Montenegro's NATO membership regarding the situation in Ukraine," stated Đukanović's cabinet.

We remind that due to the actions of pro-Russian and pro-Serbian political factions, unrest and even a coup d'état have often occurred in Montenegro in recent years.

These factions have organized rallies in recent days in support of Russia, which has committed aggression against Ukraine.
