Long queues of vehicles at exits from BiH, roadworks on several routes

(Patria) - Another extremely hot day is ahead of us, so we ask drivers to plan their trips accordingly. If possible, avoid longer drives during the hottest part of the day. If you do travel, take breaks every two hours. Keep a safe distance between vehicles and always use your seatbelt. We also appeal to other traffic participants to be extremely cautious and to respect traffic regulations, BIHAMK said.

Roadworks are ongoing on the main roads: Semizovac-Olovo, Jablanica-Prozor (Mirci), Zenica-Žepče (Topčić Polje), Ustikolina-Goražde (Mravinjac), Sarajevo-Pale and Vrhpolje-Ključ.

We remind you that on the Jablanica-Blidinje road, traffic is allowed for all vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes total weight.

Long queues of passenger vehicles are forming at the exits from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the border crossings: Izačić, Velika Kladuša, Gradina, Gradiška, Deleuša and Zupci. At other border crossings, vehicle traffic is also increased, but waiting times are up to 30 minutes. The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.

Please note that waiting times at border crossings are subject to frequent changes. Drivers have access to video surveillance cameras on our website www.bihamk.ba.

Traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tonnes maximum permissible weight at the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik). Freight vehicles over 5 tonnes are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing. Freight vehicles can use the Šepak border crossing from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 22:00 to 06:00 (on weekends they can cross during the 22:00 to 06:00 period).
