Long queues of vehicles at several border crossings

(Patria) - In most of Bosnia, traffic is on wet and slippery roads, while in Herzegovina it is predominantly dry and sunny. On most mountain passes, there is packed or slushy snow, while low temperatures are causing ice, which further complicates traffic.

Traffic is banned for heavy goods vehicles on the Resanovci-Drvar and Bosansko Grahovo-Strmica road routes.

Frequent reports of fallen trees on the road have been received on the M-18 Srednje-Olovo-Kladanj main road.

Traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons on the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.

Due to winter driving conditions in the Republic of Croatia, traffic for heavy goods vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers is banned at the Izačić border crossing.

There are long queues of vehicles at the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the border crossings: Izačić, Velika Kladuša, Novi Grad, Kostajnica, Kozarska Dubica, Gradina, Gradiška, Brod, Svilaj, and Orašje. At other border crossings, passenger vehicle traffic is experiencing delays of up to 30 minutes.

Due to the registration of passengers under the new system for entering and exiting European Union countries (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer delays at border crossings are possible.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. As of December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing is open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all heavy goods vehicles is banned at the Šepak border crossing.
