According to statistical data, there are currently more than 530,000 people registered with employment bureaus in BiH. All these people are looking for any kind of job. The largest number of unemployed are young people. A large number of them also have higher education, writes the BiH news agency Patria.
At the same time, villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina are deserted. Foreign non-governmental organizations working in BiH have calculated that for every unemployed person in BiH, there are about 20 dunams of uncultivated land, which can be a very promising workplace if only a little money, effort, and imagination are invested in the land.
For example, expert analyses show that one dunam of raspberries can yield between one and one and a half tons of fruit. The purchase price of raspberries for 2015 was 3.5 KM per kilogram. Large food companies guarantee purchase regardless of quantity.
Beekeeping and honey production can also be a promising occupation in the villages of Bosnia and Herzegovina. With a hundred bee colonies, a family of four can achieve the income they need for a comfortable life. There is also high demand in BiH for goat's milk, domestic meat, eggs, and other healthy food, writes Patria.
