State of Qatar provided a plane for transporting BiH citizens evacuated from Gaza

(Patria) - After making a significant contribution to their evacuation from the Gaza Strip, the State of Qatar has provided a plane for the transport of Bosnian citizens to Bosnia and Herzegovina, it has been confirmed by the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Sarajevo.

According to the latest information, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who managed to cross the Rafah border crossing are currently in the Egyptian capital, Cairo. They will arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday or Sunday. The exact time is not yet known.

The evacuation of foreign nationals is part of the humanitarian efforts of the State of Qatar and its close cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries in evacuating individuals who wish to leave Gaza.

The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Meshaal Ali Mohammad Abdullah Al-Attiyah, was also involved in these activities, for which the Palestinian community in Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed words of gratitude on November 15th.

As an expression of deep respect for the citizens and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the 30th anniversary of Qatar-Bosnia and Herzegovina bilateral relations, Ambassador Al-Attiyah will participate in welcoming the Bosnian citizens at Sarajevo International Airport.

Meanwhile, the Qatari Ambassador to the Republic of Egypt, H.E. Tariq Ali Al Ansari, welcomed the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina for whom the State of Qatar has enabled arrival at a safe destination in Egypt, as reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that Gulf country.

Official Doha, in addition to the aforementioned travel expenses to Bosnia and Herzegovina, will also cover the accommodation costs of BiH citizens in Cairo. Furthermore, the Embassy of the State of Qatar has provided them with appropriate welcome gifts.

Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina have expressed their gratitude to Qatar for the assistance during the difficult times they have gone through.

Let us recall that 36 out of 42 individuals from Bosnia and Herzegovina whose evacuation has been approved so far have been evacuated from Gaza. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH has managed to establish contact with six citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who did not appear initially, and preparations are underway for their exit from the Gaza Strip. Efforts are being made in the meantime to secure approval for the evacuation of other Bosnian citizens who request it.
