The state has its own facilities, but buys others: In whose pockets will 9 million KM end up

Today's Decision of the Council of Ministers of BiH on the purchase of facilities for housing institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, with an area of 7,000 to 8,000 square meters, for which 9 million KM will be allocated, was called scandalous by the expert on state property issues, Muharem Cero, reports the Patria News Agency.  

This decision, among other things, stated that it would relieve the budget of BiH institutions and thus avoid a significant part of further costs for renting space, for which about 10 million marks are allocated annually.

-Of course, renting space should stop, but spending 9 million KM on buying new facilities is a first-class scandal. The Council of Ministers is behaving like drunken billionaires. There are at least 100 facilities owned by the state in Sarajevo alone. Why don't institutions move into those facilities, instead of buying new ones? I fear that this is about deals and that the seller is already known, and that it is precisely known in whose pockets 9 million KM of our money will end up. We will not have to wait long for the answer to find out who agreed to deals with whom, Cero explains for the Patria News Agency.

Cero tells the Chairman Denis Bećirović to look in one of the drawers of his desk for a diskette containing the register of state property in BiH.

-If he cannot find it, he should ask Špirić, Vrankić, and Bevanda. They will tell him. It is shameful that BiH is the only country in the region that has not had a register of state property for 25 years. When will the public finally find out what the state owns? Croatia, for example, declared its greatest achievement since its founding to be precisely the creation of a register of state property, Cero points out.
