Second attempt to dismiss Nenad Nešić in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly on July 16

(Patria) - The next session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina is scheduled for Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

The agenda includes the Proposal for Amendment II to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, proposed by MPs from the DF Club: Milan Dunović, Zlatan Begić, and Vlatko Glavaš in the first reading, and the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Administrative Fees, proposed by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the second reading.

MPs will also consider the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Other Compensations in Judicial and Prosecutorial Institutions at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Given that at the last session on June 20, the necessary entity majority was not achieved for the dismissal of Security Minister Nenad Nešić, a new attempt will be made at this session.

If the Collegium has not reached an agreement, which is likely, a vote will follow. Only if no more than five MPs from the RS vote against the dismissal can it pass, meaning everything depends on the votes of the opposition from the RS.

At the last session, 21 MPs voted for the dismissal, 11 against, while two MPs abstained. Even if Nešić's dismissal passes in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, it is unlikely to be expected in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.

The agenda of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly also includes numerous reports, and there is a possibility of adding other materials to the agenda for which conditions for consideration are met by the time of the House session.
