Second day of the Peace Implementation Council session, Antonio Zanardi Landi arrives in Sarajevo

(Patria) - Today is the second day of the Peace Implementation Council Steering Board session at the level of political directors in Sarajevo, which is also expected to address the issue of the new High Representative for BiH following the resignation of Christian Schmidt.

Although there is no full consensus among member countries regarding the new High Representative, the most serious candidate remains the Italian Antonio Zanardi Landi. He arrived in Sarajevo this morning. He is supported by the United States and several European countries.

Today, a PIC communiqué on the current political situation in BiH over the past six months is also expected.

Regular PIC sessions are held twice a year, in June and December.
