Draško Stanivuković elected new PDP president

(Patria) - Banja Luka Mayor Draško Stanivuković was elected today as the new president of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP).

At the head of the PDP, to which he was elected at today's session of the Main Board held in Banja Luka, Stanivuković succeeded the current president Branislav Borenović.

He thus became the third leader of the PDP, and before Borenović, Mladen Ivanić held the position of president.

After his appointment, Stanivuković said that change begins today, as his new slogan also reads.

- I want to thank all of you who elected me, but also all of you who have been here for 25 years. This is not just a new chapter for our party, nor for us who are here, but it should be a new chapter for the entire Republika Srpska.

I truly believe that change begins today. Today I will not be the same person as yesterday, nor the same as a minute ago, because then I was not the president of the party. From today, my goal is to preserve every inch of Republika Srpska - Stanivuković emphasized.

He added that he aims for his party to no longer be second or third in Republika Srpska, but exclusively first.

- Our goal is to achieve what many consider impossible, because today is our new beginning - concluded Stanivuković.
