(Patria) - A real drama unfolded today in Tuzla when a person fell into the swollen Jala River near Merkator, Faktor learns from eyewitnesses.
Two police officers then entered the water in an attempt to rescue them, but they too were swept away by the swollen river. An emergency medical team quickly arrived at the scene, along with members of the Tuzla Professional Fire Brigade.
One police officer was pulled from the water near the Pensioners' Home, while the person who first fell in and the other officer are still in the Jala River, and a rescue operation is underway.
